In accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Resolution “On Authorization for Apostille Certification Provided by the Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents” dated 18.01.2003 No. 61, an “Apostille” stamp can be put by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and any Office of Civil Registry Office.

Attention! Starting from 20 November 2015, e-Apostilles for documents issued by judicial authorities, courts, and certified by a notary, were introduced in Ukraine.

Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Provides apostille for public documents, issued by educational institutions, state bodies, enterprises, institutions and organizations, that relate to the sphere of education and science.

These are: educational diplomas, Certificates of conferring academic degrees, qualifications, certificates of educational institutions, curricula and other.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Provides apostille for all other types of documents.

For example: certificate of no criminal record, Residence certificate, medical form 082, documents issued by foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine etc.

Apostille cannot be put on originals, copies and photo copies of military cards, work books, weapon permits, certificates of registration of vehicles (technical certificates), legal acts, explanations and legal opinions concerning their application, documents like correspondence, administrative documents related directly to commercial or customs operations.

Terms: usually State authorities provide apostille from 1 to 5 working days.
